Our art students have been working hard, rising above pandemic strictures to dig deep into their creativity. We hope you enjoy this sampling of their efforts!

masks, distancing, action!

Even isolated and medically safe, Fundamentals of Video Production combined the solid fundamentals of narrative storytelling with the risk-taking thrill of moviemaking. Here was the challenge:

  • Study a model scene from Moonlight, Parasite, Booksmart, Winter’s Bone, or Creed

  • Design your own original script from that model

  • Shoot a previs: with dolls, animation, or siblings, capture the shots from the model

  • Record voice actors performing your original script

  • Cut and mix it all in Adobe Premiere Pro, on campus and at home, with the included school license

At the bottom corners, please enjoy our early-fall live-action movies, from the days when we could shoot outdoors. :)

Note: Many of these movies contain scenes of crime. Drinking alcohol, cheating on tests, extorting entire neighborhoods, dealing drugs, social backstabbing, and meanness are part of the drama. None of these bad behaviors is extolled or glorified in the movies, and of course we shun them ourselves in real life.
Please enjoy responsibly.
